After years working in the public and private sectors, Jo Ivester decided to become a teacher and is now a professor at St. Edward’s University, teaching business statistics and operations management. Jo is currently writing a book about her family’s experience living in a small, all-black town in Mississippi during the 1960s, at the height of the civil rights movement. After the GSB, Jo worked for ten years in public transit, and later spent five years as chair of her town’s zoning commission.

At the CSI/PMP 40th Anniversary Celebration in October 2011, Jo shared how the interactions and impact she has had as a professor complete the beautiful circle of a family legacy in education.
