In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Daryn co-created the New Orleans Entrepreneur Week at The Idea Village, a platform engaging leading private equity firms, business schools, and Fortune 500 companies to invest more than 30,000 hours and $1 million into New Orleans entrepreneurs. His work was acknowledged by President Bush, who, during a speech in New Orleans to detail the Gulf Coast recovery effort, singled out Dodson’s efforts to rebuild the city’s business community. Prior to New Orleans, Daryn helped build a coalition of national banks and faith-based institutions to educate congress on reforms needed to stabilize the subprime lending market. Daryn is currently the Venture Capital and Private Equity Consultant to the board of directors of the Calvert Funds, a $15 billion social fund.
At the CSI/PMP 40th Anniversary Celebration in October 2011, Daryn spoke to his passion for identifying and developing leaders with a social conscience.
